Parking Information and Refunds for Students

ECU Parking & Transportation sent the following email Wednesday, Aug. 26 to student permit-holders regarding parking information and refund details.


We would like to share some important parking information with you. As you evaluate which option works best for you, please note that Transit will be offering reduced services to and from campus during the fall semester. If you have questions, please contact our office at 252-328-6294 or via email at parking@ecu.edu.

For students who already purchased a 2020-2021 resident parking permit:

Options

Keep my 2020-21 resident permit — follow on-screen instructions by Friday, Sept. 4.

Exchange my 2020-21 resident permit for a commuter permit — follow on-screen instructions by Friday, Sept. 4. You will receive a refund for the price difference.

No action is required if you do not want to keep your 2020-21 permit. A refund for 90% of what you paid will be processed back to your credit card or bank account per the Parking Refund Schedule.

For students who already purchased a 2020-2021 commuter parking permit:

Options

Keep my 2020-21 commuter permit — follow on-screen instructions by Friday, Sept. 4.

Exchange my 2020-21 commuter permit for a resident permit — follow on-screen instructions by Friday, Sept. 4.

No action is required if you do not want to keep your 2020-21 permit. A refund for 90% of what you paid will be processed back to your credit card or bank account per the Parking Refund Schedule.

For students who are still using their 2019-2020 permit and wish to purchase a 2020-2021 permit:

Students may purchase a 2020-21 resident or commuter permit by logging into PiratePort beginning Sept. 8 at 8 a.m.
